Description
- Your post and base are made with new wood to ensure a strong structure.
- As natural wood products, they will have variations in color and texture, but that is what gives them character. They are lightly sanded to make for a smoother surface but retains the character of the wood.
- They can be left natural, aged, stained, or painted (your choice) and sealed with a clear matte sealant for indoor/outdoor use.
- We have posts in lengths from 2-6 feet. Contact us if you need a longer length.
- The posts are approximately 1 1/2” x 1 1/4”
- The base measure 18 inches across which we have found is large enough to make the posts stable without being so large that they get in the way. Sandbags or weights can be put on the legs of the base for extra stability.
- Because of the size and shape of these posts and bases, they do need to be shipped separately.
- Our production time on this product is 1-2 weeks, and they will ship Priority Mail. If you need it faster, please contact us and we will let you know what we can do.

Finish Options
- Sealed only – the wood is left bare, to retain the new wood look, but is sealed to resist the weather.
- Aged – to coordinate with our plain wood rustic signs. These posts are lightly burned to give them a more rustic appearance, then sealed.
- Stained – in your choice of 6 colors to match our stained signs. See the photo for color choices and choose the one you want from the dropdown menu above.
- Painted – in your choice of 20 colors to match or coordinate with your sign colors. See the photo for color choices and choose the one you want from the dropdown menu above.
Care for your Post and Base
- Your post and base will arrive ready to use. They have been sealed with Rustoleum Clear Matte Sealant. As with most outdoor wood sealants, it should protect for a year or more (depending on the elements).
- We would suggest resealing every year or whenever you see any weathering. We chose Rustoleum Clear Matte Sealant because it is easy to find (most hardware stores carry it), it is inexpensive, and it is very easy to apply… just a quick spray and it is good for another year.

Note – As of April 2022, the USPS has put a surcharge on packages that have to be manually sorted. This affects packages longer than 22″ (+$4), and longer than 30″ (+$15). That is why you see the jump in price of our stakes / posts and bases from 2′ to 3′.
