When you want to do the fun part of creating a sign, but you don't want to do the cutting and sanding.
- Use these Rustic Wooden Signs to create that DIY Sign craft you saw on Pinterest.
- Create a Directional Sign Post for your wedding, home decor, gifts for friends and family, or decorations for the holidays.
Sign Specs
- These signs are made from rustic reclaimed wood, so they will have variations in color and texture. They may have old nail holes and knots, but that is what gives them character.
- They are lightly sanded to make for a smoother writing surface but retain the character of the wood.
- Our signs are 3/8 to 5/8 of an inch thick by 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 inches tall, in lengths from 6″ to 36″.
- Our production time on this product is 1-2 weeks, and they will ship First Class or Priority Mail (depending on the weight and size). If you need it faster, please contact us and we will let you know what we can do.
Care Instructions
- Your sign(s) will arrive ready to decorate.
- If you plan to screw through them to a signpost, we do recommend pre-drilling so that the wood does not split.
- We also recommend sealing your signs to protect your design.
- We chose Rustoleum Clear Matte Sealant because it is easy to find (most hardware stores carry it), it is inexpensive, and it is very easy to apply… just a quick spray and it is good for another year.
- Depending on how exposed to the elements your sign is, we would suggest resealing your sign(s) every year or whenever you see any weathering.Â
If there is something you would like to change
This listing is for plain wood signs. If you would like something different – (See “You may also like” and “Related products” below)
- we have signs where we either paint or stain them, but still leave them blank for you to decorate. (see last picture above)
- we have signs where we do all of the finishing and writing (and can even add a picture), so that when you get it, it is just ready to hang.

Note:
As of April 2022, the USPS has put a surcharge on packages that have to be manually sorted. This affects packages longer than 22″ (+$4), and longer than 30″ (+$15). That is why you see the jump in price at our 20″ signs and at our 28″ signs.
Stakes and Signposts
- We make stakes in lengths from 2-6 feet. They can be left bare wood (so that you can finish them yourself), or you can have us seal, stained, or paint them for you.
- We also make signposts with stands that allow you to use our signs in places where you can’t drive a stake into the ground.
